I'm finally back. Of course my body is still on CET and I was wide awake at 4am. I'm sorting through all of the pictures from 2 weeks abroad. There are some keepers. An example -->> Have to PS out the CA in the upper left...but you get the gist I hope. I'll put up a small gallery on my main page later today.
...and my feet are killing me. I use a pedometer (part of my employers healthy incentive program) and logged over 11,000 steps today .Managed to get a few good pictures too. Not many though. I basically took a lot of the inside of the museum to send to my daughter for her enjoyment.
What is a bit disappointing is that Vienna is quite a bit more cold than when I was here early in February...must be the "zee Germans". No shortage of warm and friendly people however. The nice surprise is that we had a wonderful snow storm yesterday morning and it made for some very nice scenery. Unfortunately I had to work and could only snap a few pictures before leaving my hotel.
er...amateur photog that is...After 10,000 steps on my pedometer in the pouring rain and about 87 images i am ready for a stiff drink and a comfy pillow.Dinner in my hotel in Vienna. Spinach lasagna from a street vendor and the original Budweiser from my mini-bar FTW! And leave it to the Austrians to ruin lasagna by adding garlic!?!?!?! Yuck!Oh and James Bond: The Man with the Golden Gun is hilarious when dubbed in German. Brit Ekland in a bikini is great no matter what the language.
And I am off to Europe again for the 3rd time in less than 2 months. I'm not complaining. I have a weekend in Vienna do yet more exploring and photographing. Looking forward to it since it's supposed to rain most of the week and get sunny on the weekend - yeah for me!
