Managed to get out and snap some shots of the changing colors. The window was pretty small this year. Most trees had already lost their leaves in September since it was so dry this past summer.

We've had some great examples visit the butterfly bush next to the pool. Sophia enjoys catching them in a cup and then releasing them.

I was out back and watching for deer in the field and heard this strange sound...sounded like a dragon. Turned out to be a group of balloons heading over to NJ. Managed to snap a few good shots.

There were a few deer, two spring bucks and a doe...they ran as the balloon got closer and scared them.

I thought it looked really good after I took the time to prepare it so why not snap a photo and immortalize it? Silly yes I know. What you see is marinated and grilled chicken breast and salad with freshly roasted beats and goats milk cheese.

NYBG March 2010

Amy and I spent the day having brunch
with friends in NYC and then over to the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical
Garden. Very, very many lovely flowers this year. The beauty of the venue and the beautiful weather we had made for a remarkable day.

Had a fun weekend recently in NYC with Amy for her birthday. It was a bit delayed since I was traveling in Europe on business. But we had a blast regardless.

We've got wonderful snow....

It's a winter wonderland here in the Northeast US.

Ice Flows and Forms

Walked along the towpath with my girlfriend
and daughter on Sunday. Very, very cold. But there were some nice features of
ice and water to snap. Two examples.

Feral Russian Blue...

Had not seen this guy before. Was very skittish
and could see me and my daughter moving around inside the house. Wish I would
have had a longer lens. Beautiful cat though.

Pilated Woodpecker

My girlfriend and I were out walking in the woods near her house here in New Hope and we spotted him. It's a male. And it was big. I was lucky to get this shot as it was only resting on trees for about 2 seconds before flying to the next. They are so large and fast they must have large ranges.
