Winter Storm w/ Ice

We had a lovely winter snow yesterday which turned into sleet and freezing rain last night. A few more at the Flickr location.

Ice Flows and Forms

Walked along the towpath with my girlfriend
and daughter on Sunday. Very, very cold. But there were some nice features of
ice and water to snap. Two examples.

...or rather drinks. I was mixing a drink on Sunday for part of a nice relaxing afternoon of no TV. As the GF and my daughter snoozed on the couch I got the urge to snap a few since it looked good and the afternoon light was perfect.

The drink in the event you're curious I call the Marsh Summer Spritzer. It's 1 part Cranberry-Pomegranate, 1 part San Pellegrino and 1 part Shiraz (dry red wine) in that order. With a few ice cubes on top. The distinct difference in color is provided by the liquid and the order in which you mix them. Change it up and you just get a deep red color throughout the glass.

Got the goods!

Picked up the 70-200 f/2.8L this morning. Snapped a few of the wintery weather at our Apple Tree house on my way home. Very happy with this lens. It's performing like new.
